NaturCycle is an eco-friendly skincare brand that uses renewable human waste to create products, promoting a sustainable beauty lifestyle. This app encourages users to engage with recycling activities and discover environmentally friendly products in an easy and interactive way.
Objective
Create an app that enables users to effortlessly discover products and participate in recycling activities, effectively communicating the brand’s sustainability values.
Target Audience
Eco-conscious individuals who value personalized skincare and ethical choices.
My Role
- UX/UI Designer: Designed a user-centered interface that is both aesthetically pleasing and functional.

Design Goals
- Simplicity and Intuitiveness: Created a clean and easy-to-use interface, ensuring seamless user flows.
- Sustainability Integration: Incorporated features that promote recycling participation and educate users about the environmental impact of their choices.
- Brand Identity: Strengthened the brand’s eco-friendly and luxurious identity through thoughtful design and messaging.
Design Solutions

Homepage
- Featured personalized product recommendations and sustainability impact summaries to enhance motivation and engagement.
- Designed the homepage to increase touchpoints with eco-conscious products and recycling tips.
Sub-Navigation & Tab Navigation
- Introduced a bottom navigation bar for core sections (Home, Shop, Eco, Beauty, My Page).
- Added specific tabs within sections (e.g., Impact, Recycle, Insights in Eco; Skin Analysis, Virtual Try-On, Recommendations in Beauty) to streamline user flow and enhance discoverability.


Eco & Beauty Sections (Screen5 & 6)
- Used persona research and user flow analysis to prioritize key features and improve accessibility.
- Balanced beauty and sustainability, ensuring both functional and emotional needs are met.
Visual Identity
- Used deep green and earth tones to reflect the brand’s eco-luxury identity.
- Maintained a minimalistic style with infographic-style tracking (e.g., radar-style graphs) for Impact and Skin Analysis.
Outcome
The app successfully communicated NaturCycle’s sustainable values while offering an intuitive and aesthetically pleasing user experience. It enabled users to engage with the brand’s mission through easy-to-navigate product discovery and recycling activities.
