Design Strategy

• Concept Development & Storyboarding: Developed a concept inspired by high-fashion editorial designs, drawing from the elegance and grace of belly dance. The storyboard outlines the sequence of subtle animations, such as the sway of earrings and a playful wink, to bring Yuuri’s photo to life and convey the stage-like atmosphere.
• Motion Design & Animation: Focused on creating smooth, flowing animations that emphasized the elegance of the dancer’s movement. The dancer’s photo remains static, but subtle animations, like the gentle sway of jewelry and slight expression changes, add life and motion to the still image.
• Visual Effects & 3D Depth: Applied dynamic lighting and 3D effects to create a stage-like ambiance. Soft lighting highlights the flow of the costume and the dance, giving the photo a sense of depth and enhancing the elegance of the performance.
• Text Animation & Typography: Integrated modern, sophisticated typography inspired by high-fashion magazines, with contrasting colors to highlight the brand name The Desert Jewel Toronto. The text animates seamlessly with the rest of the design, reinforcing the performance’s elegant, luxurious atmosphere.
